وما وجدته هناك جعلني مذهولة إذ أنني وجدت أربعة من الرجال وعلى رأسهم رجل أكثر ضخامة منهم جميعا، وهذا لا يعني أنهم ليسوا برجال ضخمي البنيان، كانوا يرتدون الجلابية البلدي الشهيرة ويمسكون بالعصي في أيديهم، أول ما رأتهم تذكرت وصف والدتي عن الفتوات.

صرخت في وجههم قائلة: “من أنتم؟!، وماذا تفعلون بمنزلي؟!، ومن الأساس كيف دخلتم هنا؟!”
ابتسم كبيرهم في وجهي وقال: “لقد جئنا لنرحب بكِ، اقتربي وصافحيني”!

كان يغلب على صوته الهيبة والوقار، لقد هبته لدرجة أنني خشيت منه، ولاإراديا مني ذهبت لأصافحه، وما إن لمست يدي يده إذ وجدتها وكأنها قطعة من حر جهنم فصرخت متألمة متوجعة، هنا استيقظت من النوم وحمدت الله أنه كان مجرد كابوس وليس بشيء آخر، ولكن ثانية واحدة كيف له أن يكون كابوسا وقد وجدت نفسي نائمة على الأريكة بالصالة ولست بغرفة نومي؟!

ذهبت لأطمئن على ابنتي ووجدتها غارقة في نوم عميق فاطمئن قلبي حينها وسكن، ولكني سألت نفسي سؤالا مفزعا: “هل ما كنت أعاني منه سيعود معي من جديد؟!”؛ ومرت الأيام وابنتي تذهب لدراستها وأنا لعملي ونلتقي سويا لنعود سويا للمنزل، كنت لا أتركها بالمنزل دوني مطلقا، وعلى الرغم من عملي المتواصل والدائم إلا أن أحوالي المادية متعثرة وصارت متردية للغاية ولم أكن أعي السبب؛ وابنتي مثلي أحوالها الدراسية باتت سيئة عن ذي قبل، كنت على الدوام أرى خيالات بالشقة الجديدة، ولكني على الدوام أقنع نفسي بأنها مجرد أوهام وتهيأت؛ وفي يوم من الأيام صرخت ابنتي وقد كانت نائمة، ركضت عندها فوجدتها ترتجف فسألتها عما أصابها، فأخبرتني أن هنالك رجالا أقوياء يركضون خلفها في منامها ويريدون أن يأخذوها!
